Irrespective of what country you are in, things are hard financially. I am no expert but from what I hear, inflation over the last few years has gone up at a rate that exceeds any salary increases. So people have to make their money stretch further than ever before. Plus with so many free books on the market, readers don’t have to spend any money buying books if they don’t want to.
