To summarise, writing style is a personal thing, so you have to find your voice within you. Think about the type of book you are writing too. If you were to write both fiction and non-fiction, would you use the same voice? Is it appropriate to use the same voice? You alone can make that decision.

I read somewhere that a good writer is one who reads a lot. I think this holds true as reading a lot exposes you to a lot of other writing styles, thereby helping you find your voice.

So please, do read up as much as you can before you make your book available finally.
