About Africa Writes

Africa Writes is the Royal African Society’s annual literature festival. Every year we showcase established and emerging talent from the African continent and its diaspora in what is now the UK’s biggest celebration of contemporary African writing taking place over an exciting summer weekend. The festival features book launches, readings, author appearances, panel discussions, youth and children’s workshops, and other activities.

Segilola Salami will be at the Book Signing hot stand from 12 – 2pm, so stop by if you would like a signed copy of her latest book Yetunde: An Ode to My Mother or would simply like to chat.

She’s also going to visit the African Books to Inspire event at Africa Writes 2016. It is a conversation about books and inspiration from festival guest writers sharing their favourite African literature titles. This is followed by a book swapping session. Check out the full program here

Segilola Salami will have copies of her book Yetunde: An Ode to My Mother available to swap, so make sure you are there 😀
