I was watching the cartoon Baby Shark doo doo doo doo doo doo doo with my daughter and thought to myself that I could attempt to make a similar cartoon. It took me about an hour to complete, thanks to free online resources. So without much ado, here’s my baby fish cartoon.
How did I make my baby fish cartoon?
To start off, I got the individual characters from a website that has thousands of copyright free clipart called OpenClipArt. This is what they say about their licenses:
“We use the Creative Commons Zero 1.0 Public Domain License every time an artist uploads a piece of clipart to Openclipart to make it clear the artist is releasing the creative work for anyone to use for any reason, even commercially. This act of “sharing” is the foundation Openclipart is based upon. Sometimes people want a disclaimer or legal assurance that our clipart is safe to be used. This extra security request often comes from people working for companies of all sizes and, or, publishers. If you need this type of document, please visit, save, download and, or print the following for your needs: Creative Commons Zero 1.0 License.”
I use Canva to create the individual scenes. Ever since I discovered this online tool with nothing to download, I don’t think I could ever use an actual software any more. I find Canva pretty easy to use and play around with.
For this particular cartoon, I used an online movie maker called Gifmaker. They are actually a GIF maker but they do have the option to make movies and it is still pretty simple to use I found. You can alter the speed each slide plays until you are happy with the final results. Once done, you simply have to click download to save the file. Voila! All done.
Here’s the first GIF I made using this particular GIF maker. Click on the image for it to play. It will open in another window 😀
This is the second cartoon I have made. I hope that the third one I make I can include audio into it.
So what do you think of my baby fish cartoon? Please leave a comment below 😀
